We see many difficult or problem cases from other Veterinary Practices, referred to our highly experienced Specialists in the fields of Equine Medicine and Equine Surgery. Debbie Racklyeft is one of the few registered Equine Medical Specialists in NSW, with over 25 years experience. The type of cases she Specialises in include both neonatal and adult intensive care, ophthalmology, cardiac, lameness and internal organ infection and failure. Paddy Todhunter is our consultant Equine Surgical Specialist, with around 20 years experience. Paddy has operated on many hundreds of colic, soft-tissue and orthopaedic cases and has experience with a very wide cross-section of operable problems.
Also at Satur Veterinary Clinic, we are lucky to have enlisted the services of Doug Edlington who, amongst his many talents, takes a particular interest in Equine Dentistry. He has trained under one of the world´s leading exponents in the Veterinary Equine Dentistry field, and has several years of experience in rectifying the many problem mouths we see.
We have the ideal facility and position at our 13 acre Hospital site and a fully equipped Hospital facility, allowing us to manage our Specialist referrals without compromise. There are abundant grassed yards at our Hospital site and plenty of space for traffic movements and parking, with good loading and unloading ramps. Horse movement is facilitated by well designed laneways. As well as our nursing staff, we have a dedicated Stable & Grounds Manager, who is usually around to help our Clients in unloading or loading their horses.
